Interesting site issue and some good news!

A new error and workaround for the site today. I was publishing my wander project this morning, hit submit, and ended up with an error screen (you do not have permissions). The interesting problem is that when you get that error, you lose everything. I work offline for my blogs, so for me, all I lost was the pictures and the text I pasted into the window.  The good news is it was a one time error. When I closed the browser window, reopened the browser, and launched the site, I didn’t have the same issue with the second publication. I will say, based on the last few months, I did go and check my posts before I resubmitted the job to make sure I didn’t end up with duplicates.

I did want to let people know that I do see the workaround for polls. Create the questions and refresh several times. While I do know the workaround, I don’t have time to use it. I am happy to say that many more posts are being available every day. I am focused on reading the new positions of many authors, and I don’t want to spend the extra time making polls perfect. So, my sincerest apologies for that, but I don’t have time. I will say that the refresh option does work for some poll questions, but not all (open a post, refresh right away, and the poll will be partially populated). I know one of the things that were correctly pointed out is that we need these things to work before we have new authors.

I do think that is critical, and at some point in the future, I will redo what we would like to see a poll. The right news end of the week news for everyone is that with the sudden release of all the posts in the queue (well many of them not all), we have had a two lay lift in views. Not a huge lift, but we are getting closer to the numbers we had per day for last July. That is excellent news. The other thing I have noticed is there are many more comments right now, that is a good thing! Conversations are the best way to help other authors! Yes, there is a maximum earning point for posts per period, but many don’t get anywhere near the limits most of the time, so comment away!

  1. Virily published 3 articles of mine at the same time after nearly one month!!!! I always tell you the same. To me, Virily should give us again virilys when we comment and read the post of other users. This is the critical for me. Everything else, do not bother so much albeit we should not be waiting 20 days ( as It has happened to me recently) to see our articles published. I hope this does not happen again. Thanks again for your posts.

    • THe not being published is very frustrating. i don’t think that virily will again give us credit for reading the posts of others (there was an issue with users commenting, but literally doing the seagull thing, swoop in a comment, fly away and never return.)

  2. I try now to have things written out or what I plan to mention, so that I don’t burn much time resulting in that error message. I have also cut down on the number of pictures in my post, so that I am not putting so much time into it.
