This weekend we celebrated our birthday. My sister’s husband celebrated his 60th birthday. Birthday is that special day of the year that many, especially children, already look forward to days or even weeks in advance and with full expectation plan every minute detail of celebrating this personal holiday. In addition to preparing the party, selecting it and inviting guests, delicious eating and drinking are one of the key elements of a good birthday party. Many would also say that there is no real celebration without a birthday cake. This one is already considered a traditional dessert when it comes to birthday parties, and blowing candles on a cake is a festive moment that remains in the memory of everyone present for a long time. Since the whole family loves chocolate, we decided on a chocolate cake.

This year I also celebrated my 60th anniversary. I had a cake in the shape of a Nikon camera. My grandchildren enjoyed it the most.
That’s what I believe. My grandchildren are also the most looking forward to cakes. Yours must have been beautiful, I have never seen it in camera form.
Birthday cakes are a must in my family regardless of age
In our family, too, and I’m excited about it because I love cakes.
I just learned that your favorite candy is chocolate. Have you ever had Dove chocolates?
Yeah, you’re right. I prefer chocolate. I’ve never heard of this chocolate. I don’t know if I can buy it in our country.
Gosh that looks good right now. I would love some!
Unfortunately, everything is already gone, but second ?
Cake is the best part of a birthday for me. We can have cake any day, but birthday cake always feels more special.
I agree. We have the hardest time waiting for the cake at all the parties. The whole family is sweet.
My wife and I don’t celebrate birthdays but the daughters are always busy preparing the event for us, as some whispers to prepare a surprise for my wife who will have a birthday next month!
I don’t celebrate birthdays either. But my sister is very excited about the celebrations and she organizes everything.
I do not love celebrating my birthday but my family still makes that day special in one day or another.
My family, too, insists on celebrating.
Sorry, I may not read your posts for a while. As you know for sure, I can’t post. Now, though, I don’t get any virilis to watch the post. If this works out, I’ll look at your posts later.
I stopped celebrating my own birthday years ago. But on my 65th this last Saturday, I did go out for supper with a few family members. After all, now I am officially a senior lady. But I skipped dessert as I have to watch out for my waistline which is rather round at this time…. Happy Birthday (late) to your brother in law…
Good luck to you too. We celebrate in a family circle. We are the same age so I know we have to be careful about eating.
My wife and I stopped celebrating birthdays with anything other than a card. We do still do cakes though for the kids!
We celebrate in a family circle. For “round” anniversaries, we also have cake for adults.
we haven’t in a few years. I am heading towards a round one in a couple of years.
The cake seems delicious
You are right. The cake was very tasty.
Nice cake and to have a celebration….
Thank you, Pamela. It was a really enjoyable celebration.
This month is my son’s birthday. Sadly he wont be here with us at home , he will be working in ER.
Sad. You can celebrate when your son comes to visit
We celebrate only milestone birthdays. A wish is on its way to the Birthday Boy
We don’t have a big celebration. Usually the whole family gathers.
The birthday cake looks very delicious!
You’re right, Carol. The cake was very tasty.
Did you make the cake vidocka?
I used to celebrate my birthday more, but nothing special ….. I hope you had a great time at the celebration, dear Vida
