It is enough to look closely around us and we will certainly notice a lot of insects. I have shown you several times insects that I found in my area. Today I will show you again a small insect, Green leafhopper. The leafhopper is the common name for any species from the family Cicadellidae. This is a plant feeder that suck plant sap from grass, shrubs, or trees less than 8 mm in length. Adult leafhopper is known for very long jumps, capable of jumping from 60 to 65 centimeters!
I share this post with my Macro Monday Challenge.

Great , I never know this ….
I love taking pictures of insects it is so much fun.
I love spending so much time watching the wonderful world of insects. It is very interesting!
You are truly an insect queen. This one could easily camouflage among leaves.
I do not know if I would like to be the queen of insects! I prefer to be human!?
Whatever you say but it is no denying that you are expert at finding insects (lol)
That is a cute one and in the photo, I can see its beady eye. Are leafhoppers like grasshoppers?
No. They are totally different in shape and size. Leafhopper are much smaller than grasshopfer.
Great photos and I love learning about nature.
There should be an option for “I do now”!
I’m afraid I don’t understand what you mean, I’m sorry!?
All I meant was that I didn’t know the fact you gave about green leafhoppers before I read your question, but I do now because you’ve just told me!
I haven’t seen these insects in action yet but they are quite interesting creatures.
They are very small insects, hard to see with the naked eye.
