There is a popular TV commercial (aired in America) that says pomegranates are a food from the gods.  Who wouldn’t be tempted to believe that? These exotic fruits are a gorgeous ruby red, the insides look like jewels, their taste is sweet and delightful, and the juice is marvelous!  The pomegranates have a very colorful history and an interesting place in myths and legends.
