  1. I’m not sure that I can allow you to get away with the “Silk Road” answer. This is not a railroad but a rail route that makes uses of a number of connected railways. Even if you allow this, you would have to accept that the route from China to Madrid is longer than that to London, which has been called the “Silk Road”.
