The light slips from my fingers
slipping away from me
slinking off in the darkness
to hide beneath
the couch.
the cat
seeing that pounces
and then
pounces
but cannot catch the light
while I stand
staring at my fingers
wondering why the
holes suddenly appeared
losing light
there is nothing left.

I guess we have all been these moments like these. Although you cannot hold the light you can still make good of it and in a way it could be good you cannot hold on because that releases a number of other possibilities to you.
that is so true, it is about what we can do!
I have always believed that light gives hope but the darkness has a soothing quality to reflect upon
yes I always wonder about the transition, in that moment when it is half of each to me it seems the world is revealed!
Absolutely I can relate to your words. I have a framed quote, very long, that basically says I am in the light. It was gift after losing Dustin. I will write about it one day.
honestly, having interacted with you for a long time now, I would also say you are a light bringer!
