I truly respect and listen to the advice of others. I try to take it all in and see what I can do to make improvements. Yesterday I got a message that I was in desperate need of a niche. A niche is a a specialized segment of the market for a particular kind of product or service. The comment was made here in a private message.
I am clearly all over the map here. Partly because of the diversity of this group. I assume, and perhaps should not, that most people on this site don’t have young children. I assume that because I rarely read anything about young children. “Parent Up” is one of my favorite topics and yet I don’t think this is the place for that topic.
So what is my niche here and as the message suggested, is this not the site where someone like me belongs? My life choices will not be made on the whim of strangers and still I value opinions and observations from others who are viewing this from a different perspective.

I agree with Linda. I don’t think you need a niche here. I think posting on a variety of topics is interesting. I just naturally fell into a niche when I started my quizzes and music posts but that even makes me with two niches. I might change that over time. I think you’re doing very well here and I enjoy your posts.

I don’t understand why you have to have a niche to post here. My topics are all over the map.
I don’t think you have to.However someone sent me a message suggesting I need one.
I say ignore it and post what you want.
