The sound reverberated throughout the room
to bounce off walls
and in finding the dust bunnies
scattered them around the room. Snick
It seems innocuous simple
tumblers that engage
to create a connection
that snug around a key
leaves no room for the sound
as the lock seeks equilibrium the
balance between the cylinder
and the tumbler not falling
the snick completes the
circuit and for a moment
there is light but not sight.
just the sound of tumblers
as they ever move to
hold the key.

Occasionally it happens to me that I hear the sound of a lock. I find that I had hear things, but I’m honestly scared
fear is pretty common when we hear a lock, and we are inside.

Yes I have. Actually while living alone I heard what I thought was a key in my door. I was frozen in fright. But it was only a dream. A bad dream. Will never forget the sound.
Many nights in hotels i heard those noises in the room next to mine, and jumped out of my skin!
