A sunny Sunday from morning to evening, with the sun shining bright enough to make my visit with my mother and all my siblings to my father’s grave feel hot. This is our regular visit every Easter and Christmas to my father’s grave at the Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery.
I know this is not a new story for you, but this family activity in Easter week has given me the opportunity to write a few other themes to share here. One of them is for Sky Sunday.
I took the picture with the cellphone without aiming but instead turned the camera up and shot it. I did it because the condition was too bright so I couldn’t see any image on the screen. To be sure, I need a picture of the sky, the same sky with your sky, even though it won’t be the same face in different seconds and in different places. After all, whatever the outcome, the sky is the sky, the face that is always different from the same thing. Times in human civilization are always changing, renewed, affecting human life in every age, which will then be recorded as history. But is there really something new on earth? Especially if we quote a phrase adapted from the Book of Ecclesiastes, which the entire passage reads, “The thing that has been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. “

This is a very beautiful tradition … it is also customary for us to visit the graves of our most beautiful and most expensive ones for great holidays … great picture
Apparently, we have the same tradition, dear friend.
Thank you for your appreciation too.
We have some things, but we really are similar, dear friend … it seems that we believe in the same god
Of course, we believe in the same God, dear friend. After all, I am absolutely certain that there is no other God, but I don’t know with other people, who might consider money or else to be their god.
Sometimes I notice certain repetitions but that’s when I start looking for different pattern or doing things differently. If I take too long when I’m meant to change then life does it for me.
Mostly I have to agree, there is nothing new under the sun simply because a new discovery to one is an old experience to another.
You have an interesting perspective on this, brother. What if it is associated with another perspective of time?
This brings to mind a quote from my childhood (from the TV Show Welcome Back Kotter).
What will e was
what was will be
What is was but will be again
So life, so time, so everything moves.
Hmmm… I like that quote… Quotes that illustrate this well.
hehe my rebelious side wnats to say, there are new buds growing!!
but You know i agree with you 🙂
I wonder if you agree with me, even though I don’t point any weapons at you.
Intriguing theme Alex. Do you see how many comments there are?
First, your photo is great.
Other. This quotation is beyond doubt for a philosophical debate.
Thanks a lot for the compliment, Robin, both for the image and quote I choose too…
The image of the sky from your cellphone looks great.
I think I’m lucky with the sky…
That is a good thing that you were lucky to get the shot you wanted for this post.
Yeah! Looks like lucky often sided with me.
Having good luck is great when you need it most.
Now you should solute to cell phone and thank to him
I did it and I hope you see it.
I’ve heard this sentence already. If I think about it, I agree. Life can be unique if we allow it. I sometimes say that I’m just fixing old things.
In the past, I thought about a sword that turned into an atomic bomb for war, then a hoe that turned into a computer to work, is there really nothing new? Now, in a certain perspective I understand the point.
What you did with the cell phone is a great idea. Brilliant and the picture is great too.
Thank you for the compliment, Pamela. The sky was so kind to me, and I’m glad you like it.
the Sky is like a painting that changes every day. I see rain as God’s washing day and for the first in a long time we have rain..It may sound a little different but have a huge imagination
I agree with you, that the sky is like a painting that keeps changing, and also as God’s washing day. First in a long time you have rain? Wow…
I was absent because the site was working like a tortoise and I was not patient enough to wait. Now it seems to speed up…
Yup! I also experienced the same thing, and unfortunately it happened when I had very limited time. Thanks for your visit and kind comments, dear friend.
The more I learn and read especially history, and the more I live I see that things do repeat 🙂
I love that you add philosophy to everyday life. The sky is eternal (I hope) however never the same. Beauty’s in the eyes of the person looking at it.
I am glad that you see life in a great framework, and that gives you wisdom in living life. It’s amazing, Natalya.
I love the sky when there are clouds. This phrase “There is no new thing under the sun” is very much used. I’m glad you have such a family of friends. cheerful friend buddy
Clouds are decorating the skies who are good at entertaining hearts.
Yes, the phrase is indeed widely used, and that is why I ask to compare it with our own reality and thoughts.
Thanks, Ellenka. My family is very harmonious and close like a friend.
I heard that saying before, I didn’t know where it came from. ?
It’s true, if we look at the big picture, nothing is really new. The sun rises and falls, so do people. Seasons come and go, so do civilizations. Only details can make a difference. ?
I don’t know your age, my apology if I mention that, but your wisdom feels ripe in my mind, Sabrina.
Hehehe, thanks! ?
I’ve been living long enough to sometimes feel old, but I’m not truly old.
I’m 23. ?
Umh… I had guessed in my mind that you were around that age even though I didn’t dare to make sure. My youngest daughter is even 26 years old, but in response to that kind of thing, your thoughts seem to surpass that age.
Beautiful blue sky Albert. The more clearly we can focus our attention on the wonders and realities of the universe about us, the less taste we shall have for destruction.
My happiness always soars every time you launch a pearl of wisdom, Carol. Yes, the wonder of the universe always embraces us in its spirit and peace.
So happy to hear that! You are part of the reason I can share these words of wisdom. I continue peeling back layers.
I feel honored! I’m sure you are the one who continues to move forward, Carol.
