Well, I’ve decided to introduce the “strokes” as well. These are the “smallest” components in Chinese words. They’re just “lines” as you can see from the cover photo. These again, are not all of the strokes in Chinese and as I said, I’m not planning to teach, just trying to help some to understand my quiz, so won’t be showing all of them… But anyway to be honest, I don’t think I remember all of them… it’s been years since I learnt these.
All of them have their own names but its too complicated, I’ll just name a few. The first one on the top left, is called “Heng” which means horizontal. The one beside it is called “Shu” which means vertical. The one beside “Shu” is called “Pie” (not pronounce as English word, “pie”), it’s sloping to the left.
Anyway let’s try some examples.

Although the quiz is hard I enjoyed it
Glad to know that! Thanks for taking the quiz 🙂
I have tried to study seriously, but there seems to be something strange there.
Yes, my maths failed… lol
nope I uploaded the wrong picture… oops
perhaps this might help : http://i65.tinypic.com/2dr9yza.jpg.
There were seconds where I felt that you intend to complicate my life. lol
Oops… that is the initial intention!
But I later realised that others are confused too!
haha
and then there is stroke order…
Yes, I’ll never go there …
my order are all wrong usually haha :/
generally top to bottom and heng before shu
This was tough but challenging, I enjoy doing it.
Glad to know that, Carol!

Just kidding! :p
My mistake! For the 2nd question (about how many “shu”) there are actually 5!! I miss out on the 2 strokes on the word in the middle of the bottom row!
My bad, lucky I’m no teacher! LOL
This is tough, I didn’t do well. lol
Kim, you actually got it right! I mean there are 5 “Shu”, I miscount the top of the middle word in the bottom row… Oops looks like you’re better at this than me :p
