An interesting modification of Carol’s awesome idea to share the posts and spotlight specific writers. Let’s give the challenge a name – my choice is The New Beginnings Challenge!
First, we want to be able to quickly find the oldest post of the authors we are including. Let’s start with how to get to an author’s oldest post, you go to their author profile page. Select the more button. Select posts. This takes you to a listing of all of their posts. Now click the highest number on the list you see and share the very first post they made on Virily. Views are slightly up based on the initial challenge (spotlighting by CarolDM). Let’s see if we can get things moving forward! The goal is to get the community engaged and involved moving forward with positive posts. Some of the older posts that authors have had on Virily for a while have many hundreds of views. Some of them are themes we see throughout our time here writing!
So I interrupt your regular schedule technology broadcast to join The Challenge of the new Beginning!
The challenge that was issued was by Ghostwriter. The rules are as follows (totally making these up there are no rules)
- Pick three authors and go to their profile page!
- Go to the last page of their posts in the author profile and share their very first post.
- Then send a message (see above) to the last person on your list of 3 authors. Include the link to the person who challenged you like a chain letter.
- If you have already been challenged you don’t have to participate more than once!
So to be clear – 3 authors. The author that challenged you, an author you read often, and finally, the author, you are challenging.

Late in seeing your posts since we are limited on the posts we can see. This is a great idea. I read it after I posted another spotlight post. I will try this one another day. Thanks for the mention!
happy to mention you and what you are doing! I figured having two or three challenges running is a good thing.
It also keeps the naysayers busy complaining and testing!

The idea is a good idea, but if I’m going to participate …. maybe I’ll join
i understand I do not often do challenges myself. we are trying to keep Virily alive.
Because you know we are restricted from commenting on barely all of my closest friends and opening their comments …. you see that I always comment on old posts one day back because I always run out … I still comment so much when I don’t get Virilyev
you are not restricted you just don’t get virils. the restriction is self-imposed but I do understand the logic of working and not getting rewarded for the work.

i do understand that, it frustrates all of us.
the issue is there are those who have cheated the system for so long, and been rewarded for that. Now we all suffer.
All right I can give it a try and thank you for putting up that poem of mine. Now I see my mistake right away. I could never find the photo I used in that original post but I could do up another post on this poem of mine this time with many photos that work with my verses. I will give it a shot. I sure had no idea what I was doing at the very beginning So two things I take up the challenge and then redo my own post.

I am not really sure this is my idea. I believe it came from picking your brain! Now I am reading the rules and going to see if I can get it right!
