in the light before the dawn
the moment when the sky
meets the ground
and they dance
in the firelight
the leaves fall.
Never in the light when seen
they can be grabbed
plucked from the air
and thrown into
a bag
to be lost from sight
they fall.
Twinling to the ground
falling
through the air
as if water
spinning
to the ground.
Until
there is
no more
than stacking
stacking
stacking
until there
is no ground
in the moment
before the dawn.

You read a lot of poetry – that is awesome!
“… until there is no ground in the moment before the dawn”. That part raises many beautiful perceptions.
