The Democrat Leadership Seems Determined to give Democrats Throughout the US a Bad Name

Even people in other countries have probably heard about the impeachment probe the Democrats mounted, circumventing the law and making things up in order to do it. This is really beginning to make Democrats look bad, though they don’t control their leadership.

It all began before President Trump was elected. That same leadership was furious that the American people picked a candidate other than theirs and the Democrat leadership swore publically that they would find a way to impeach the president.

They used faked reports to obtain illegal warrants to begin a $40 million investigation, to prove that Trump had colluded with Russia. Unfortunately, for them, the only evidence of collusion with Russia had to do with the Secretary of State under President Obama. Since they couldn’t show collusion, they tried to show that Trump obstructed the investigation. This also failed. Again, the President couldn’t be shown to have obstructed anything.

While all of this was happening, Trump was busy protecting the American people and doing such things as causing an enormous drop in unemployment, an increase in the economy that his predecessor’s own people said was impossible. In other words, Trump held true to the promises he’d made to the people who elected him. That infuriated the Democrat leadership even more.

So then they used a sham to claim that the president misused his power by invoking quid pro quo. In layman’s terms, that is “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.” They tried to claim that in a phone conversation with the newly elected president of Ukraine, that President Trump tried to coerce the Ukrainian president and pressure him to investigate the son of a rival and Democrat, Joe Biden. This was a serious mistake on the part of the Democrat leadership. All presidential phone conversations are tape-recorded. Trump responded by declassifying the conversation and releasing the transcript. The transcript of the conversation can be found here. Although the left-leaning media has tried to make something out of it that isn’t there, anyone can read the transcript and will quickly see that there was no quid pro quo. In fact, the president of Ukraine even released a statement saying that in no way did he ever feel coerced.

Their current move is based entirely on one statement from the transcript:

I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike… I guess you have one of your wealthy people… The server, they say Ukraine has it. There are a lot of things that went on, the whole situation. I think you’re surrounding yourself with some of the same people. I would like to have the Attorney General call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it. As you saw yesterday, that whole nonsense ended with a very poor performance by a man named Robert Mueller, an incompetent performance, but they say a lot of it started with Ukraine. Whatever you can do, it’s very important that you do it, if that’s possible.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that there is no quid pro quo here. Nothing of the sort was even implied. The Democrat leadership is so filled with hate that they seem willing to do or say anything, even if that means making their own base look foolish. There is also a contrast; President Trump continues to work hard for Americans and so far the Democrat-led Congress is doing nothing at all, except to collect a paycheck while making baseless claims.

  • Americans are growing tired of all the expensive absurdity exhibited by the Democrat leadership. Do you agree or disagree with the Americans who are tired of it?

    • Yes
    • No
    • It makes no difference to me

  1. The Democrats are very determined on impeaching the duly elected Commander-in-Chief of the United States of America. Every day, their impeachment charade fails to deliver impeachable offenses, because there are NONE. They make up fantastical things their President has done this-and-that-crime-who-knows-what.

Perhaps, they might like to try to de-president him for being a fan of diet coke and ‘unhealthy’ Mcdonald’s cheeseburger.

    • This is all quite true and they stated their intentions to find a way to impeach him since before he even took office. I can’t help but think that this is all going to come back to bite them. In fact, it looks like a growing number of people, particularly independent voters who are the swing votes in many states, are now firmly against impeachment. Meanwhile, more and more Democrats are leaving the party as the DNC moves farther and farther left. A large number of Democrats have historically been moderates and the leadership is now definitely not moderate. Pelosi and Schiff are becoming laughing stocks and are alienating their own base. Of course, that is all somehow Trump’s fault.

  2. seriously Rex check your sources.

    1. Donald Trump was not the majority selection of the American People. He was elected by an antiquated system (Elctronal College) not the people.
    2. These last 3 years have seen more issues and scandals than the previous four presidents COMBINED.
    3. The Republican party went after Bill Clinton and spent nearly as much money pursuing that as was spent protecting our democracy.

The president of the United States appears to have asked a foreign nation to interfere in an ongoing US elctron. No US President has ever done that.

    • In other words, Trump was elected the same way that the other presidents were elected. Both Democrat and Republican presidents are elected by the Electoral College, as it should be.
I disagree with the part about scandals. Obama had a huge number of scandals, most of which were swept under the rug, ignored (especially by the press), or were seen as unimportant when Obama did them but very important when Trump did the same thing.
Bill Clinton wasn’t impeached because of his abuse of power or his affairs when in office, he was impeached because he lied to Congress, got caught at it, then admitted that he’d lied to them.
If you read that transcript, you will see that Trump never asked a foreign nation to interfere in an election. Obama did, however, do his best to make sure that Bibi didn’t get reelected in Israel. Truth is that countries have been interfering in the elections of other countries for at least many decades. The US has done that many times in the past and many countries have done the same to us many times in the past. The transcript shows that Trump was actually trying to come to the root of what had happened, which is very reasonable. He certainly never suggested or attempted coercion. It certainly does appear that Secretary of State Clinton did try to get a foreign nation to interfere with an election, but there doesn’t seem to be anything that ties her actions and that of her campaign to Obama, so it is entirely possible that he didn’t know about it.

If there were truly any smoking guns, it would have come out before now, and it hasn’t. For that matter, all of the current political posturing by the Democrats also wouldn’t be done behind closed doors. No other US Congress has ever before presumed guilt until proven innocent, either.

      • Trump lost the popular vote. That has only happened 3 or 4 times in 240 years. The other 40 plus presidents had the majority of the popular vote and the electoral college.

Two, the crap that you just put out about the previous administration is embarrassing. There may have been issues there probably were but they were not publically caught.

The only person is the Milarty professional who stated (and was on the call) that the request was a quid pro quo.

No American President Until trump did not release their tax records. The BS reason give is exactly that. No one ever did that ever in US History.

No US president ever, on national television called himself “The chosen one.”

No US president until trump, ever refused to divest themselves of any financial resource after the election. NEVER.

Just those 3 are bad. When you add in what people are saying (that were on the call and have been verified and validated) what was taken out of the transcript and placed in a server that calls that never are used, it’s scary.

No American president has EVER called the free press the enemy of the people. That is in the US Constitat8ion (freedom of the press).

        • Opinions aside, all presidents are elected by the Electoral College and it was set up that way on purpose. Otherwise, one or two states could repeatedly control the elections.

The previous administration should have been embarrassed, but I’ve never seen anything to indicate that they were. That honestly isn’t a reflection on Democrats, but rather on the leadership of that party.

There is no law what so ever that says that a President must disclose his tax records to the public. But then, tax records also don’t mean anything and have nothing to do with an election. None of these are scandals and make no difference. Even the scandals of Obama’s admin make no difference because Obama wasn’t running.

No American president has ever been attacked by the free press or felt the need to point out what so many people already knew. The press has the Constitutional right to be absurd and to state untruths, but it certainly isn’t a friend of the people, to do that, yet they have. Trump stated the obvious, and he really didn’t need to since it was redundant and already apparent. What is really interesting, and actually fun, is to watch a presidential press conference and then watch the networks to see what kind of spin they put on it and how many statements they make that are entirely false. Of course, not everyone has the luxury of watching the original press conference, but it is still a fun exercise. I suspect that is one of the biggest reasons why so many people distrust the press, regardless if they lean right or left.

          2
          • you’ve presented the interesting right-wing conspiracy theories. Congrats.

            Prove it.
The press has a funny videotape thing. When it is played back it isn’t interpreted.

as for tax returns, IT IS A TRADITION that all American presidents followed.

Obama never appointed his or his daughters to political positions. And then when the OMB said that Kushner should not receive Top Secret, the president awarded anyway.

You know how many times he did that? For people that were determined by a process to not be worthy of a clearance? More than 8 times so far in 3 years.

Obama 1 time in 8 years
Bush 2 times in 8 years

The Electoral college was set up for one reason and one reason only. To prevent wealthy landowners from losing power. It negates the will of the poeple and replaces it with the will of the wisp.

          • I’m not sure if you are simply repeating the rhetoric the Democrat has been spouting for over 3 years or if you actually believe those falsehoods, so, assuming the latter, it becomes senseless for me to show you how incorrect those things are. That has already been done numerous times and if a person is determined to believe the demonstrably false things the media has been saying, they will believe it, no matter what proof is brought up. I firmly believe that it will come back to bite the Democrat leadership and liberal press, but time will tell. So far, there has been no proof at all for wrongdoing by our president and unless that changes, which isn’t likely, this is all being done for show because it is nearly certain that a resolution wouldn’t pass the Senate.

  3. I do my very best to avoid politics and yet, I do get to read a lot online, I am so tired of all that is going on now and of our leader. I remember back in high school when I finally reached the age to become a registered voter my parents told me to fill out the form saying I am a Republican
