If I were a songwriter I could get my inspiration from just watching the sunsets from my deck. What I should be doing is writing poems. And I have it on my list of many things to do. This sunset had a lot of blue skies with the scattered clouds. I really enjoyed it. The blues are not always about feeling down and out. I love the blues. In this sunset, I almost missed the sun. We have more rain headed this way. Timing is everything when photographing the sun. It can be gone in a second.

The blues are what I’ve turned to, what has given me inspiration and relief in all the trials of my life. ~ Eric Clapton

I adore all the sunsets. I have no preference for colors.
I do not always have the chance to enjoy the sunset… “but I still got the blues for you”…
Very beautiful picture! I love all kinds of colorful sunsets, but maybe the pink ones are the most special ones for me.
Thanks Ellie, I also love all of the sunsets.
Thank you for that very nice comment! Much appreciated. 🙂
My favorite color in a sunset is purple, usually after the sun sinks into the horizon. Those are my favorites. This one is mouth dropping. I could see why it would inspire. Now start writing!
Purple is beautiful Kim. I love them all, blue is one of my favorites. Thank you for the nudge! 🙂
I like to watch a sunset or sunrise every day. Each time it is never the same. It’s almost like a painting and each colour in conjunction with each other is meant to be there. All the colours are beautiful
WEll said, ditto! I totally agree.
Thank you Pamela, you are so right, each sunset is different, like us is what I always say.
Another beautiful sunset, enjoyed it as always ?
So long as the skyline is majestic, I don’t care about the palate…
Thank you Alex, I enjoy it all. Even the rain.
What’s that mystical place where it rains constantly? Oh right, it is Seattle…
Ha! It really doesn’t rain here all the time, just a lot of weird weather lately as the seasons change.
Are you in Seattle? I didn’t even know…
Nope, the Nashville area.
