The Amazing Avocado

I love avocados.  Not just because  they are needed to make guacamole. They taste good. And I did not realize just how healthy they are until I did a little research. 

Did you know these facts: 

They contain more potassium than bananas. Loaded with nutrients and fiber. They can help lower your cholesterol and triglyceride levels. They help with digestion. Loaded with antioxidants to help your eyes. They can help in preventing cancer. Often they can help with arthritis. And did I say… they taste good.

The amazing avocado. Just wanted to share with you a favorite food.

  1. I know of the benefits, but the problem is we don’t know how to choose them
    We either have too ripe or too un-ripe. Then we kept too long and it spoil ..

    :/

    • Ha! Same problem here, with their hard shell you don’t know what you are buying. I have not been able to figure the secret out yet. I just buy a bag of 4-5 and keep an eye on them, when they feel a little soft, eat them.

  2. You ate it raw? I was going to ask you how you fixed them. Not sure the best way to eat them. Oh, I thought I read in a comment that you loved avocados.

    • How did you know? I rarely post about food. They really are good for you in so many more ways than I even listed. I just ate one, added a little kosher salt, Yum!
