Sharing a photo for today’s Macro Monday challenge. This photo is my Autumn Joy sedum in the early stages. It will go through several colors. Starts out green, then, pink, then burgundy. It will last all summer.
This plant is one of my favorites. Last year I moved it from my deck container garden to Dustin’s garden, and it did great. It gets cut back at the end of the summer. And in a few weeks it will start again, like in the photo above.
A great addition to any garden. I love these types of plants. Perennials are the best.

Carol you are blessed to have so much love in your garden. The warmth of your sunshine gives many friends reasons to smile even if for no reason at all.
How kind of you to say. I create all of the nature I possibly can around me to try to keep a smile going. Your words always touch my heart, you are so kind.
Not a garden is what I have. One corner of the terrace with flowers that withstand intense heat.
Your climate is most probably different than ours.
would be nice to have a garden one day
Maybe you can. Even a balcony or in your window, you can grow herbs.
we do have a garden with flowers, and vegetables.
I know you do and your pics always look so nice every year.
honestly not many things other than a few flowers in front.
I am a floral admirer, not a good floral caretaker!
I kind of thought you would say that. And that is fine, you can handle the tech side for us!
happy to make that trade! 🙂
I have a garden all year round, veggies, fruits, herbs and flowers.
Good for you, enjoy Dawn!
I tried growing tomatoes on my deck one year and had no luck.
I only have a garden in my garden is intended primarily for vegetables …. I also have some flowers in the minority only
Fresh veggies are the best. My neighbor shares his garden every year, so kind.
No better than homemade tomatoes and homemade cucumbers … I have a lot of salads too
Great name and a very lovely plant.
Thanks and it is always favorite to watch all season.
I love the name – Autumn Joy
Thanks. Here is an old post from last year….
