According to the Catholic calendar, the Advent begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas. Sunday Sunday November 27th and December 3rd – this year Sunday December 1st 1st is called the first Advent Sunday. Advent time ends after the fourth Advent Sunday – on Holy Night (the night before Christmas). A typical advent symbol is a four-candle advent wreath. Second Advent Sunday This Sunday reminds us that man was born to enjoy universal peace; evil is not in God’s original plan. This leads us to the conversion that John the Baptist proclaims.
