Magnolia blooms are so cool to see. The birds flock to the magnolia tree when it is in bloom. The dark green leaves are so pretty with the big saucer sized white blooms.
I am once again enjoying my magnolia tree. I have to pick up the big leaves as they are not good for the lawnmower. But I don’t mind. Good exercise! It is so worth it to have this evergreen tree in my yard.
It is always green. And the tree grows taller every year. I continue talking about it because it is one of my favorites.

I love this bloom a lot. So pretty!
Did you see the beetle?
Yes I did and I forgot to mention it Kim. You have a great eye. 🙂
We used to have a giant at the resort. It was about 3 stories tall. The kids made a tree house in it.
The rider had no problems with the leaves..lol. Although I did rake directly under it as not even grass grew under it.
Wow! That’s amazing. Perhaps I do need to venture south and see the rest of the country.
Perhaps you do, a lot to see here.
I have seen different varieties of magnolia, but not this kind with huge blooms. I can smell them from this side of the globe.
This is the saucer magnolia. Love it every year and it continues to grow. Wish I could share with you!
I will put my hand in the photo the next time so you can see they are larger than my hand.
i love the blooms! we don’t have them in our yard so no leaves to pick up!
Thanks Doc, these are huge and smell wonderful. And we had storm the other night that blew the leaves all over. Easy to pickup.
that storm veered north and missed DC!
You have a beautiful magnolia, Carol. When I lived in the UK in the 1990s I remember thinking how my life would be made if I had a magnolia in my garden. Now I have one too, and yes they are wonderful 🙂
Oh thank you very much! I love this tree. It gives happiness years round. And glad to hear you finally got yours as well.
A beautiful plant. I see this plant in my neighbors.
Thanks, this tree is about 30 feet tall at least.
Such a gorgeous magnolia! I’d love to have a magnolia tree someday.
Thanks, I only have one and I really enjoy it. The evergreen leaves are stunning in the winter.
