Swans are among the largest water birds flying, members of some species reaching 15 kg. They are elegant birds that slide gently on the water, but they can be very dangerous if you get closer to their family.
Look at this male swan, ready to attack when Maya approached his babies! Like any responsible parent, he is ready to intervene when his children are threatened.

Lovely pair! I haven’t seen a swan but I know some animals are very protective of their babies.
Like humans, animals try to protect their children.
I also heard somewhere that foxes are loyal too
It is possible! I have not seen foxes until now!
Didn’t know such elegant animals have such ill temper …
but oh well, any parents would be if their kids were under danger
Yes Swans can tear a limb off. They are very aggressive

The Swans have my sympathy I have seen people tormenting the Black Swans in Western springs and in the circumstances the Swans were more than tolerant towards them but the Black Swan went for the mans foot when he kicked at him.

I’m sure basically all mothers have the same instincts, including the mother of the swan.
You are right but “daddy” swan was the one who attacked us! It has the same protection instinct as mother!
But not with cats. Cat’s father rarely appears after the babies born…
I know that! They are exceptions! As I know, they are “jealous” of newborns and often try to kill them. That’s why the cat hides her babies.
Wow, look at how brave Maya is. Maybe a little too brave. 🙂 Such cute little babies.
Maya was a bit curious and that annoyed the swans.
