It seems that the basil from my balcony has attracted many creatures this year. Spiders, ants, flies, bees and today this creature that almost could not be seen among the green leaves of basil.
I have no idea how it got here and what kind of beetle is. It can be green vegetable bug(Nezara viridula) or green soldier bug (Chinavia hilaris). They are quite similar. All I know is that it smell awful. Thank God it didn’t enter the house!!

I have not seen that kind of green beetle here.
I wouldn’t know, but it is cool looking whatever it might be
Not much into insects and critters as we do not have that many here
I can’t identify but it can be green soldier bug.
Hard to tell but I went with soldier bug. The wings are usually how you can tell the difference.
