I have already mentioned that I really like to walk around Strmol Castle. The surroundings of the castle are arranged in a beautiful park. The park is freely designed with landscape style elements with a shaped lake and non-native tree species. Strmol Castle has been awarded the prestigious 2018 Unique Castle Award by the specialist travel magazine London Travel & Hospitality. I prefer to stay around the lake. The weather was wonderful on my last visit. I’ve walked around the lake many times before, but I’ve never seen such a wonderful reflection of the castle in the lake. I do not know if the reflections are also affected by the weather.
