Sharing a photo of one of my Tulip Poplar trees in my backyard. Yesterday right before the sunset was suppose to happen, too cloudy for a sunset, the sun came out and was shining on this tree. I had to snap a photo. It was very windy. You can see the tree is swaying. I thought it was kind of cool to see the sun only for a moment, long enough for this photo.
This tree continues to grow. I have two and they are at least 15-20 feet tall. Much taller than my Magnolia.
Then the clouds came back in, covering the sunset. A message sent from someone perhaps. No sunset but this photo made up for it for today.
Sharing another photo below of a small pink rosebud in Dustin’s garden. More of the little things offered by nature.

Thank you, that is what caught my eye as well.
Oh wow!
I love the photo of the tree!!
I guess we all gets those “free gifts” while there are some that are “exchanged”.
Thanks, the wind was blowing but I liked the way the sun was shining on it.
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better
That is a great statement, thanks.
Amazing photo! Thank you.
Thank you very much.
I am still dealing with snow, and for this season it has lost it’s beauty.
Have you ever considered moving? Just saying, a lot of snow for April.
Let me shine a light upon those things you need to see!
Love it CaroL!!!!
Thanks Doc. The sun was just in time.
My dad planted Poplar on the fence line (part of it) in our first house in Bloomington Indiana.
Friends of our family bought the house, we went back to visit the house about five years after we had left and probably 8 years after the Poplars were planted they were huge!
Yes, this is another tree I would recommend. It grows fast and is beautiful especially with the yellow tulip shaped blooms that attract the birds. A great shade tree as well.
I did not know that a poplar was a tree.
Yes, this is a Tulip Poplar. It will bloom and they will be shaped like tulips. Very cool and it is the state tree.
I remember there was a Poplar Street in Metairie when I used to live in that area.
Seems like it was off Causeway Blvd but that was a long time ago.
I think Poplar went from Lake Avenue past Bonnabel Boulevard.
Wooow, Carol. You need to have a large garden so that it can grow such great and beautiful trees.
This is in my backyard, I have two of these.
Amazing photo! ?
Looks like the winds moved here, we had a very windy Sunday.
Thanks, the wind was blowing but I liked the way the sun was shining on it.
There is a good wind blowing around the tree
Yes you are right. I liked the way the sun was shining on it.
The sunlight gives a very pleasant and soft picture of the objects it touches.
I completely agree. If only I could capture al the beauty I see.
I feel blessed to see the beauty you do capture and share.
