Poplar ~ Sky Sunday

Sharing a photo of one of my Tulip Poplar trees in my backyard. Yesterday right before the sunset was suppose to happen, too cloudy for a sunset, the sun came out and was shining on this tree. I had to snap a photo. It was very windy. You can see the tree is swaying. I thought it was kind of cool to see the sun only for a moment, long enough for this photo.

This tree continues to grow. I have two and they are at least 15-20 feet tall. Much taller than my Magnolia.

Then the clouds came back in, covering the sunset. A message sent from someone perhaps. No sunset but this photo made up for it for today.

Sharing another photo below of a small pink rosebud in Dustin’s garden. More of the little things offered by nature.

Let us dance in the sun, wearing wild flowers in our hair. ~Susan Schutz

      • My dad planted Poplar on the fence line (part of it) in our first house in Bloomington Indiana.

Friends of our family bought the house, we went back to visit the house about five years after we had left and probably 8 years after the Poplars were planted they were huge!

        • Yes, this is another tree I would recommend. It grows fast and is beautiful especially with the yellow tulip shaped blooms that attract the birds. A great shade tree as well.
