Passionate healthy and decorative climbers

Pasijónka is a fast-growing climbing climb from the Pasijonkovk family. It has large flowers of different colors, the fruits are orange. Passionate is also called the flower of Christ, so it was called by the Spanish Christian missionaries, who were first noticed when America was discovered. It has a very unusual shape of a flower, where in the middle there is a kind of cross, therefore it was given its name, and purple sprouts on the flower remind us of the Christ’s crown. Flowers are mainly pollinated by larger bees, bumblebees and colibrium. There are about 500 species of these climbers, at home mainly in tropical areas of America. Some rare specimens also grow in Slovenia
