The perfect fall flower is mums, which are known more formally as chrysanthemums. Even before the temperature drops, containers of mums arrive at your local garden store just waiting for you to make the perfect mum arrangement for your front door.
Every fall I buy mums to place beside my front door. Burgundy is my favorite color. They come in different colors, orange, yellow, and white. I have tried planting once the blooms are gone but they never make it. I will give it another try this year.
I am so ready for fall. Summer needs to be gone with the hot weather. Bring on the cool temperatures.

The full name is chrysanthemums. Very popular in the fall here.
In the UK, a mum is a mother! I don’t think I’ve heard the flowers being referred to in this way.
They are very popular in the US. Chrysanthemums are the full name.

I once bought a pot of mums that has nice flowers. But it did not live for long.
Many people plant them once the blooming is over and then you have them to bloom again in the garden.
Wonderful flowers. They didn’t do well in my garden either. I have yellow ones.
My neighbor has beautiful mums every year.
The yellow look great with these burgundy.
