More than an average human
the distance
more than one woman
or one man
other than the tall
measure the distance
keep your stick ready
to push those away who
stare at you with open mouths
do you see their tonsils?
Push them away
more than a person
more than a man or a woman
push them away
keep your stick handy
keep your stick 6 feet long
and push away the people
whose tonsils you can see.

I’ve read that my country is one of the most compliant when it comes to wearing masks. Good thing? I dunno. I see people who got masks but they are covering their chins instead of their faces 😂😂😛
that is the issue we have here, or no mask at all

the mask is as much for the person next to you, as you. Be kind wear a mask!
This is very sad and irresponsible. There are such irresponsible people in our country as well.
there are and it really made me nervous.
I avoid irresponsible people. Sometimes I even remember the mask.
i do as well. I find myself taking stock right now of people online as well. There are those I enjoy interacting with, and those I do not. So why interact with the ones that make me uncomfortable!
Here in Tanzania, the notion of distance is a foreign concept. And very few are wearing masks. I mean here things are normal.
that is a little scary overall, I wrote this poem in the car waiting for my wife (she went into a store and there was no parking so I kept the car near the front)! there was 20 people 2 masks, and the 18 were told at the store door, no mask no service.
Amazing how you’re inspired at that moment to write the poem. Masks are very important. They help to some degree. It’s better to have them than none at all.
my wife works in healthcare the infectious disease nurse that works in her group says “masks help you a little, but the save the life of the person next to you.”
I see…it protects the other person…and that person protects you from getting in case they have it.
that is the dream, it really decreases transmission of the disease!
I understand the feeling well unfortunately. Many see no risk at all. Lives will continue to be affected. Nice descriptive poem.
i worry about all of this. we have some real issues that need to be addressed.
Things are very unsettled right now. We all have to be very cautious.
or the silence means they are working on the fixes we asked for!
