Hello, friends! First of all I want to wish you a very beautiful week ahead! As you know, on Monday I use to post macro photos in my rubric Macro Monday.
This is a weekly theme and I would like all lovers of macro photography to “adopt” this Monday theme. I would love to see more macro photos here on Virily. As a definition, the Macro photo is extreme close-up photography, usually of very small subjects and living organisms like insects, in which the size of the subject is greater than life size.
This is a photo I have taken last spring. I’m not sure but I think it’s a firefly or maybe a soldier beetle. I hope you can help me to identify this insect!

What an amazing photo.
I’ve seen those beetles a few times, but didn’t know they were called soldier beetles. This is a great photo. I will try to post a macro photo on Mondays!
As always your macro pictures are perfect. I love the angle and the framing of the picture. The beetle, not so much!
I have never seen this kind of bug before, but it’s very pretty.
It is a soldier beetle, I had them in my garden.
