Lebowski Dude ~ Day 313

Jeff Bridges: Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not “Mr. Lebowski”. You’re Mr. Lebowski. I’m the Dude. So that’s what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.

Many ask why I call my black cat the Dude. I am reminded of the movie as talked about above. The name just fits and there is a certain way you have to say it. Watching the movie helps understand.

Thunder is rolling, clouds are everywhere. Rain soon I hope.

  1. When you love someone and you love them with your heart, it never disappears when you’re apart.and when you love someone more and you’ve done all you can do, you set them free. and is that love was true when you love someone, it will all come back to you.

    Meika, Sweet shy one.
Luna, well the Moon… My son picked it because her blue eye reminded him of the moon.
Loved all the comments on this one, and now I know where the Dudes name comes from. I just thought he looked like “one cool dude”

  4. Sorry Carol I forgot to add that your Dude carries his name very well because he looks altogether like a sweet kitty but also a tough cookie. I guess the color black does that to me.

  5. My sweet departed Tasha was named after Tashayar on Star Trek New Generation. Tashayar was the security officer on the Enterprise. My sweet Tasha though was no security guard as she would lick everybody she met. She probably would have licked a robber to death but just the same I loved her dearly.

  6. We name our cats after Anglo-Saxon Kings of England! The current one is Athelstan (Athy for short) and our previous one was Edwy. The dog’s name is Okami – she is our son’s dog, and he has a thing about Japan. Okami is apparently Japanese for wolf!
