Jacobina….

Jacobini begins to bloom at the beginning of the summer, and sometimes again during the late autumn by forming green ‘buds’ at the tops of the branches from which very real buds appear. The flowers are gradually opening. They are irregularly shaped with tongues, collected in colored blooms at the top of the branch. They are mostly pink in color, and they can be orange, purple, red and white without odor.As a home-grown plant, Jacobini’s carnation, originating from Brazil, is most commonly cultivated. Due to its interesting flower, it is known for the names of royal crowns, Brazilian feathers and flamingo flowers, and in Mediterranean areas and as a Dubrovnik gospar. In warmer areas it can be grown outdoors. We also have the root in our place, but there is no overhead part in the winter, but in the spring it is even bigger.
