In 1971 Soviet Engineers working in Turkmienistan set a hole on fire at the heart of Kuarakurm desert, which was filled with natural gases. This hole is almost 230 feet wide. Its fiery glow can be seen for miles around.
The Engineers expected the flames inside the hole to only burn for a few days, however, they soon found out that this would not be the case. The hole has since been burning for over 48 years and is known as “Door to hell”.
The country’s government hopes it’ll become a tourist site, and the nearby desert has already become a popular place to wild camp.

Many people like to visit this kind of places.
if it isn’t really the mouth to hell, why bother? if it really is the mouth to hell, even more reason to stay away!
Not familiar with this place at all.
