Cardinals are beautiful birds. I only started seeing them at my deck feeder after my Dad passed last year. I will never believe that was a coincidence. He loved them and fed them at his home. We talked about them in every conversation we had. He sent them my way after he passed I believe. My inheritance form his, sort of speak. The male is a bright red color and is easily recognized. They are challenging to photograph and easily scared away. I snapped this photo from inside as he was cracking a sunflower seed in his mouth.

That’s a lovely one! I used to have a parrot as a pet but it was always flying all around the flat. I did not kept it closed all the time. I loved it soooo much! You just brought me memories from my childhood! 🙂
