but as the wind picks up
we struggle,
seeking something to hold on to
to bind us.
so that we do not
suddenly, released
fly higher and higher
to close to the sun
our wings
shatter and we plunge to the ground
which is why we hang on.
Do not let go. Do not pass go.
as the winds blow
we hold tight
fingers white with pressure
until again
it is but a gentle breeze.

Flowers show us so much more than beauty, right?

I loved it all and thanks for sharing.
🙂 Thanks! Always fun to share old poems.
So true, the wind was so strong yesterday it blew down my Swan plant and I had to fight to tie it to a stake. Then the stake blew over and I tied the stake to another tree and had to prop up these with large pots
How hard we try to tame the wind…
Words here are very appropriate
wind is great if you are sailing, but hard for just about everything else!
We are a part of nature so sometimes it’s great to merge with it.
it is, that connection is eternal!~
I use my free time rationally to be in nature.
being in nature makes me happy!
I get immersed in nature every chance I get.
I do know that, and am glad you share your wonderful pictures of that immersion!!!!
