at the moment, the flash from
the camera disturbs what
could be seen as the perfect
moment and the dust
settles around us.
drawing circles in the dust
we place clean in the circles
for a moment the dust
rising, argues and tries to settle
again where it had been
we don’t let the particles of
dust
be where they were
the quiet of the dust
in the air.
swirling around the
well placed nicknacks
in circle of
dust pushed into the air
and floating back to earth
we watch the glitters in the sky.

Was it a hard life event. I have no clue what it was. Can you tell me what it was?
it was, we were picking our young family up and moving from Cincinnati OH, to Indianapolis IN.
It’s hard to guess what was going on at the time. Maybe you got twins back then.
that is an interesting guess, you are close the twins were born about a year before this. This was a poem I wrote on wrapping paper as we were moving. I found it in a bin that hasn’t been unpacked in 20 years this past week!
This poem could be about so many things. I say about your daughter growing up and moving out.
And again, there are many losses that could bring these words as well.
close, i wrote this as we moved from Cincinnati Ohio back to Indiana
that is an interesting guess
So many things were running though my mind as I read.
that was the goal! so many things to do when moving, and of course, half the time you miss one or 12!
