I took several photos of this Moon last week at our new place.
Some people here have dogs but they did not bark at the full moon. One dog had an owner go overseas and did not receive food or water for 36 hours and locked up in the yard. My neighbour told me about it, it was fed and watered by her.
That very dog howled at 4 am and sets her dogs off, dog choir. i guess her dogs were sympathetic.
I like dogs I don’t mind their bark, I just talk to the dog that barks and after a while it ignores me.

our dogs are split, 2 of them do not bark at the moon. 2 of them do.
we keep the two that do away from windows at night!

it is in fact. It comes from the wolf part of dog. Wolves howl at the full moon.
Excellent photo with gorgeous clarity. I’ve heard dogs howl on a full moon, not so sure about bark
I supposed dogs are related to the wolf, but we don’t have wolves in New Zealand. Wonder if the dogs can sound more melodious?

Gorgeous capture! My neighbours had a husky that howled during full moon.
Thats interesting, the dog that howled at 4 am looks like a husky. Nice looking dog.

Huskies seem to have some strong wolf genes.
