Funerals can be complicated. We made certain that everyone had a say on something. We will be going to stay the night before so at least 1/2 of the members should be on time for the services. As Dad served in the military at the internment some 400 miles away, we will drive for that. We will then be required to put on our t-shirts (if you don’t have a really great sense of humor don’t click the link.) for the family picture and we can all head home. Every family member and even the grandchildren and great grandchildren had a say.

the ceremony is to put closure to the life gone, but also to remind the rest of us that we are still living. Hug family members, reconnect with those you haven’t seen for a time.

Interesting, funerals are for both the deceased and the living . The deceased so we can honor them and for the living so we can grieve and carry on with life.
