This song was played at my uncle’s funeral yesterday.
It was also played at my Mom’s funeral years ago. She loved the song.
There are many versions and artists that have covered this song.
Elvis, Alan Jackson and many more.
Savor the moments you have with your loved ones.
This first video is a live performance by Alan Jackson:

Here, funerals were not allowed during this period. It was extremely painful for those who could not say goodbye to their loved ones.
It was also extremely painful for me not talking to him for months while the nursing home was on lockdown. Hope things get better.
There are many places here that are not allowing funerals. Very sad.
At least, you had a funeral to say him goodbye because funerals were not allowed in Spain because of Coronavirus. I am so sorry about what has happened to your uncle. Rest in Peace. I am also sorry your mum died too. I AM VERY SORRY FOR YOU.
Thanks very much. I had not talked to him in months due to the lockdown.
Such a lovely song. It is nice to have memories to hold on to and always have the hope to meet again one day.
It is beautiful and so many memories with it as well. Good to see you.
That’s a wonderful song, it’s new to me. Art and nature can bring a lot of soothing and comfort.
Thanks Ellie, it has many special memories for me.
A beautiful song. I’m not surprised your mom adored her.

Oh wow it is beautiful Doc. I am not an Elvis fan but he also did a good version. You are converting to country slowly. 🙂

The elvis version is also excellent – yes, you’ve slowly won me over! i will however never use the words roll, and then the word tide in the same sentence.
Ha! I will not try to win you over when it comes to sports. 🙂
That is a fair dinkum as they say in OZ. i will do the same. I will not try to win over your sports allegiance!
