I read a post from a homeschool mom, and she suggested it’s good to read to and with the kids every day, even the kid is already a teenager and can read very well.
I have to confess that I am not reading to my kids every day now. I used to do so when my eldest was young. I still had storytelling session every day before my youngest was born. But after the youngest was born, I just found it not easy to spend time reading and storytelling. Moreover, when the kids can read on their own or read together, I forgot it’s still good for me to read to them.
As my youngest is already 3 years old now, and I think it’s good to follow what the post suggested to make everyday a read aloud day. I do enjoy reading the same novels together with my eldest now, so we can always discuss the topics together.

I read for my grandchildren but not everyday.
No kids here but reading is very important.
Reading is an awesome experience to be done regularly,
Oh I think reading is very important. I read aloud every day. I don’t have children though, but I’m always reading books.
we did that for years with the twins and our daughter. reading aloud is a wonderful thing!
That not only helps kids to retain what they hear it is one way to bond with them
