each molecule taking sunlight and
converting it to energy bounces.
The bouncing light bursting from the
oxygen molecules to
slam into wooden rails. the bouncing air
the buoyant fee style molecules
that is not limited to yesterdays
rules.
As we race to catch them
to find
the one molecule that
in grasping it
will rule them all.
Letting go only of the ones
that follow
as the molecules bounce of the air
and land at our feet.

I wonder
If Breath is God
Traceless as it goes in and out
Placeless but everywhere
Pervading all at the same time
Unseen but felt by everyone
It enlivens
It resuscitates
It is the reason why there is Life
???♀️
P. S.
I was a kid in 1983. Awkward, shy, weird, stubborn and smartmouth ???. Looking back, the last three never changed ??♀️?
i love the poem, it is one of those that resonates!
i was a young adult in 83, just finishing college.
Very creative I like the poem. Made me think of the song The Air That I Breathe
thanks – From you, I consider that high praise, given your poetic background!!!! you made me smile today!!!
You’re welcome Doc and I hope you’re having a great start to the week
i have jury duty starting this morning. It went from a wet gloomy week to an even more gloomy week.
Well done. This one reminds me of how I had to learn to breathe again after losing Dustin.
Beautiful church as well.
yes that is true, I wrote this after i lost my first grandfather!
Coincidence perhaps, I think not. Glad we were kind of on the same page.
it is a very hard page to be on. I find great solace in those who walk with me!
You know I understand and agree. Only those who have been on this journey truly understand.
i do know, but you have gone one step further. You help others along the way to finding this path.
that is a gift thank you from me, and everyone you’ve helped!
You are too kind. The funny part about that is I don’t realize I am doing it until someone points it out. It seems to come natural. Sometimes it’s all I have left.
you took great pain and made it into a gift for the world. That is admirable!
Still feeling the pain, and thank you for your support and encouragement.
i am not sure you will ever not feel that pain. That is always a piece of Dustin with you.
Words I needed to hear, always good to see his name.
I find the same truth when someone mentions my dad. I just feel warm inside!
Makes you feel like he is not forgotten.
it does, I am reading a book by one of his former students. the way the student describes being in dad’s classroom reminds me of the kitchen at home!
How special, that is a gift you have received in that book.
it really is, Legends of Science Education. A look at the history of Science ed in the US.
Not only was the air cleaner, so was nature. You’re a native writer friend.
thank you for the kind words! i love nature and I love being outside!
A poet and I did not know it. 🙂
i’ve been writing and sharing these since back in the Niume days, smart-aleck!
