A couple of our older siblings had left the shores seeking greener pastures while I was still at school.
The place where I lived was not much developed and so what we ate was the usual simple food.
Whenever they came down for their holidays they would pack their bags with goodies and we would just wait for their arrival. One such item was these animal crackers. They got us a huge tin of this. It was the first time I ever set eyes on biscuits that were shaped like animals.
I took a few to school and I was a VIP that day as none of the others had also seen such biscuits. I asked mother if I could take some and give to a few of my friends and my mother obliged.
I searched everywhere and I cannot find them, even online.

As kids we do have so many memories of our life then.

Animal crackers! Oh yes! They used to cost 15 cents for a box. Not a large box. A personal size box. A great snack.
They tasted like Marie biscuits if you have tasted them too.
