Lots of rain lately. This morning after a long rain shower, I went out to refill the bird feeder on the deck. I scared away the Blue Jays. But they did not go far. I snapped this shoot as the Blue Jay was perched on the limb of my poplar tree.
If you look closely you can see a few Robins on the ground. They never come to the feeder, always feeing on the ground. Sharing the photo with Nature Tuesday’s challenge.

Thank you very much! 🙂
Very lovely photo of this Blue Jay and we don’t have either bird in New Zealand. However, we do have the North Island Robin which is Black and I have yet to see a South Island Robin.
Appreciate your kindness Pam. Those birds sound cool that you have.
Beautiful picture dear friend
Thanks, this was an unexpected shot! I am usually inside taking the photos.
your arch enemy has returned, and the eternal struggle begins anew…
I am holding on tight for the ride ahead!
Brace yourselves- bluejays are coming
I can handle it……. 🙂
Did you get that long range super soaker?
I actually do have one of those.
I am waiting for the approval post from Thursday.
Super shot. We do not have as many beautiful birds as you. By the way, I’m waiting for the approval post from Thursday.
I have heard about others waiting for a crazy amount of time. I hope it is published for you soon. That is just crazy!
It was an impressive sight. I wish I had them around me …
I wish you did too, they are beautiful.
I will invite them in my dream.
I will send them to you through my dreams. 🙂 Wouldn’t that be so cool.
That’s really cool! I will accept and treat them as well as possible.
What a wonderful capture! A lot of birds here don’t go to the feeders either, they only pick up what’s fallen on the ground.
It was unplanned, he flew at the last minute.
