I like Carol’s idea about what I should write about. I will limit it to technologies you are interested in – please share ideas in the comments. I am looking for suggestions that would bring value to the community.
Last July, we did a series of community posts that resulted in several changes to Virily that we asked for (and a few that were not changed). We did not get larger file sizes for uploads; we also did not get the right to edit comments. It is a community project and one that has gotten some things that we’ve asked for, as well as having a couple of things taken away (editing posts is one that was released, then taken away). Let me know in the comments if you are interested in redoing this activity.
Today is a light conference call day (only 4), so I am looking around the work things I have to get done and making a list. Over the Christmas holiday in the US, I got roughly four bags worth of stuff and a full load of things for Goodwill (Goodwill is a US company that helps people get jobs, they do recycling and also take donations of items that are working so that they can resell them. I got my first pair of bell-bottomed jeans at Goodwill. My mother refused to buy them in the store!)
I will end a conversation I had yesterday with a friend of mine. He and I talk about once a month via phone. We used to work together years ago and have maintained our friendship. It was a warm enough day that I sat outside on the back deck and wore my headset to have the conversation. As I was sitting on the back porch, I watched several birds head towards the bird feeder in the backyard. I had my phone, so I stepped towards the feeder to get a picture, and the birds scattered. I managed to knock into the feeder, and now today, I have to fill it again because I spilled the seeds that were let by tapping into the bird feeder. Embarrassing I know but had to share. I am looking at Game Cameras (they turn on and take pictures with movement). I want to get a picture of the birds enjoying the food!

I haven’t been out of my hole to even have any ideas on tech stuff. So, I will leave that to you all. 😉 Now, about those birds… You have to already be out there with the camera, and wait after you fill the feeder. They will get close after a bit, and you can snap away happily.
i sadly do not have that amount of time, Work keeps interfering with my photography!!!!
Well, that is horrible Doc. Work gets in the way of so many fun things.

PS i finally figured out how to get polls working, and it is really slow.
I find a very interesting topic about the computer and its “problems” and the internet.

I still don’t remember the topic I had in mind. Until today, my number of views was getting lower and lower every day, but we’ll see how it goes.
some authors seem stable, some are increasing some are still sliding. i know why you are having a short blip…
Removed single image post. Now there is only a gallery The problem is as old as you mentioned in the July 2019 post for larger file sizes to upload. It is also very important to edit the publications. But here things are moving slower than a moving turtle. Be careful with bird feeders. Now take your free camera and wait. I’m sure you’ll take great pictures.
i remember that – I did see they are pulling templates. Not sure why.

You have covered so many technology issues already. Maybe unhackable internet. I read a story recently that this is being researched in the Netherlands. An internet based on quantum physics.
the unhackable internet I’ve seen stuff on that. That will take some research – added!!!
I just found the article very interesting.
it is I agree. It is using the quantum compute power to generate keys that are far more robust than the ones we have now. It is really cool tech!
