Woodland's Historical House & Gardens

Last Sunday Warwick and myself took off from Auckland and headed South towards Woodland’s Historal estate. We had a nice lunch at Prof’s and then I wandered around the grounds taking photos. My husband is slowing recovering from a shoulder operation and can’t walk far.

So I took some photos of the beautiful grounds and will show you some photos here. It’s well worth a visit just for the gardens alone, sorry to say we didn’t have time to visit the historical house.

Woodlands is an hour and 15 minutes drive from where we live but it took us longer because we stopped to fill up on petrol on the way down.

#1 Woodland’s Historical House from the gardens

I use 2 cameras, one has a superior Zoom but no good at scenic shots which show a wide range so I used the Canon Power Shot SX HS 50 for this shot.

#5 Beginning of a long walk by garden seat

There is a selection of very well ordered shaped gardens and flowers

    • I saw a bench like that for sale in Trade Me and wanted to buy it, but my husband told me that it would probably walk..Thieves pinch things in our neighbour hood and cant afford to buy them if they only get stolen. Thieves seldom return things

#6 A different arrangement of plants

Some of the gardens appears manicured but not all of it.  It includes all sorts of plants including New Zealand natives.

#9 Woodland’s Pond, Bridge and gardens

There is more than just one bridge but this gives you an idea
