It is in the South Indian state of Tamilnadu. At an altitude of over 2100 meters, the weather is always pleasant. So Kodaikanal is the favorite summer retreat for people living around this region. There are many offbeat things to do when you visit this hill station. You can enjoy hot chocolate, have a bhajji (a fried South Indian snack), go for a bicycle ride around the lake, visit Berijam lake or the pine forest. There is a hotel with a private waterfalls that is accesssible only to the guests. With so many offbeat attractions, a trip to this hill station would always bring a lot of pleasant memories.

You can choose offseason as the crowds will begin to thin down. You would enjoy it even better.

It is the weather and the greenery that I love the most when I visit Kodaikanal. I don’t live there. I live in a furnace called Chennai.

Not really Alex. Cost of ownership and maintenance for a full year is high. We may stay a maximum of one week there. Smartest thing is to book a resort or homestay.

It is not my cup of tea. So I have not given it much thought.
