While you may not think of visiting the ocean when visiting a landlocked state like Colorado, the Downtown Aquarium in Denver brings the ocean to you. In addition to exhibits that show you freshwater fish in North America and the Amazon rain forest, there are plenty of undersea views. Taking the kids there when they were little was always a special treat. It’s easy to become mesmerized by all the underwater views. They even have snorkeling and scuba diving adventures for the thrill seekers in your family.
However, my daughters were never too keen on getting in the tanks with the sharks. They were perfectly happy with staying on the dry side of the glass. Below, are a few pictures from our visits.
