One year a Monarch Caterpillar hung itself upside down on the hand of an ornament and formed a Chrysalis. It hatched and here is the newly hatched Monarch Butterfly.
It’s Wing span was 4 inches from one wing to the other…
Monarch butterflies on average can live up to 4 to 8 weeks but they can live up to 5 months depending on their circumstances.
Great picture. The butterfly found a really strange place.
I have seen Monarch caterpillars try to begin a chrysalis in many strange places… Thanks Vidocka

You took me a to a memory when I taken a huge butterfly to school and kept it in my drawer. The next day when I opened the drawer there were countless eggs this butterfly had laid.
