The Pohutakawa tree is our New Zealand Christmas tree, although we do have pine trees with Christmas light and lighting for Christmas.
Here is some at Mangere Bridge just over the water from Onehunga where I live In Auckland.

Thanks so much Perfectfeeds, glad you like it.
As a tree and plant lover, I really admire the beauty of Pohutukawa tree even though I don’t know which tree it is, is it white or red? What is clear is that both of them seem great.
Thanks Albert, the Pohutukawa tree always has red blossom the one that seems white is a different type of Pohutukawa tree which blossoms later.
Oh, I see… Thank you for your information.
Wonderful tree … I see it for the first time
Thanks so much Lado, it is a beautiful strong tree.

Thanks so much Vidocka, glad you like it.
Beautiful… so this blooms only every Christmas season.
thanks so much Mavic, pleased you like it
Oh, this tree is my deep love! Can you confirm that I’ve seen the same plant? It grew in Turkey and looked more like a big bush than a tree. I was told by my Instagram friends that it is also called bottlebrush and red bubbles: http://www.instagram.com/p/Bp3Q0WalHRp/
No the Pohutakawa Blossom is like but not the same as the Bottlebrush. It is vastly different. The Bottlebrush tree is a totally different tree.
Now I am aware, thanks a lot Pamela. I like both!!! Nature’s so beautiful!
I have since put a write up with many photos of Pohutakawa trees.
Gorgeous trees! New Zealand has amazing nature.
