Here is my contribution for Macro Monday, a Monarch caterpillar.
The Monarch caterpillar is as pretty as the Monarch Butterfly. It is born to be beautiful, male or female.
I can tell if it is a male or female butterfly but I cant tell be seeing a Monarch caterpillar. Unless someone here knows something more about Monarch caterpillars?
Apparently the Monarch caterpillar is deaf but if you really look close they do have eyes.
do caterpillars even have a gender? they’re too young to reproduce and may not have fully developed sexual organs…
I totally agree with you that this Monarch caterpillar is born to be beautiful.

Another beautiful picture. I see the caterpillar so close for the first time. They really see the eyes. Unfortunately, I do not know much about the caterpillar
Thanks Vidocka, many New Zealander learn from an early age how to raise monarch caterpillars and watch them turn into a chrysalis and then hatch into a Monarch butterfly. There is quite a lot to know but I raise them and Im still learning
