Macro Monday – Oak moss

Oak moss is a species of branched lichen. The scientific name is Evernia Prunasstri. I read that this species of lichen is appreciated in perfumery for its perfume, hardly oriental and as a fixative base. I found this species of lichen on a plum in my mother’s garden. Although it is beautiful as a photographic subject, it has a detrimental effect on plums.
