Macro Monday – Viper's bugloss flower

For today’s Macro Monday Challange  I’am going to show you a very interesting flower.

It is a hairy plant with dense spikes of bright blue flowers. Interestingly, the flowers are initially pink and then their color turns blue

It grows wild but can be grown as an ornamental plant. It has  therapeutic value, the herb being used in traditional medicine for antiseptic, antispasmodic, calming, emollient properties.
