Crimson Crepe Myrtle Blooms

Sharing a photo from last year’s garden. My crimson crepe myrtle blooms did very well. I hope they do good this year.  We have had a couple of frosts lately and the leaves are curling up. But there is green on the bark, so that is a good sign.

Here is to hope that the blooms will magically appear again soon in my yard. Hope is what we all must have.

I find hope in the darkest of days, and focus in the brightest. I do not judge the universe. ~ Dalai Lama

  1. If you take people’s money you will make it difficult; If you take their goals, you will temporarily delay them. However, if you give them hope, you will stop them. They can go on for some time without money, even without purpose. However, they will not manage without hope. – Neal Street
Hopefully your purple crepe will be beautiful again this year.

Crimson is for Crepe Myrtle Blooms

One of my favorite trees in my yard is the Crepe Myrtle. My variety has beautiful crimson red blooms that start blooming in spring and continue right through the fall each year.

There are many different varieties and colors available with the Crepe Myrtle. But I chose the crimson. It is on the far side of my home and is growing over the roofline now after many years.

There is no maintenance required except to cut it back at the end of each fall season. I like mine to grow both wide and tall, so it is cut back each year. The birds also enjoy the little balls (seeds) on the blooms. I did not realize this until after the tree started to mature. Now it is an added bonus. I like it and so do the birds, the perfect tree. I hope you all enjoy each and every day.
