Crimson is for Crepe Myrtle Blooms

One of my favorite trees in my yard is the Crepe Myrtle. My variety has beautiful crimson red blooms that start blooming in spring and continue right through the fall each year.

There are many different varieties and colors available with the Crepe Myrtle. But I chose the crimson. It is on the far side of my home and is growing over the roofline now after many years.

There is no maintenance required except to cut it back at the end of each fall season. I like mine to grow both wide and tall, so it is cut back each year. The birds also enjoy the little balls (seeds) on the blooms. I did not realize this until after the tree started to mature. Now it is an added bonus. I like it and so do the birds, the perfect tree. I hope you all enjoy each and every day.

  1. I had a white one at my last house. I love them, so full of color and they bloom for so long. I really like this red one. wow. I think I wouldve chosen it as well.
