Adult colouring books seem to be quite an interesting hobby just lately. There are so many of these colouring books to choose from these days, it’s hard to know which one to choose! I was in a store the other day and saw one that really appealed to me about Watership Down. Who remembers that film? It is such a lovely film, but sad too. But there are some lovely pictures in this book to colour in. So with the book bought, and some felt tip pens too, I have coloured a few pictures in already. This one I am the most happy with so far though. There’s a few pictures that has got quotes on the page too, and I have decided to colour the words in too. I think this one has come out alright. I shall post more when I have done more.
Have you tried any of these colouring books? I find it quite relaxing too. It takes my mind off things when I’m doing this, I find.
I enjoy these books as well.
Yes, adult coloring seems to be very popular here as well. Though I enjoy looking at those coloring pictures, I haven’t try coloring any of them. I might try it, but I am not sure if I’ll like coloring. I prefer doodling as I think I have more freedom, I might not have the patience to color within the lines. Perhaps it’s good for me to practice.
Well, if you want to give it a try, there are individual pictures on the Internet you can try. This of course would save splashing out on a whole book if you didn’t enjoy it. Personally I enjoy it as I find it relaxing. But like yourself, I doodle too.
Thankyou very much for the lovely comment.
I have to check if there is one here in Spain. This will be a pleasant pastime for the lady I work with. She is ill with Alzheimer’s.
Aww Lacho, that’s sweet. I’m sure the lady you work with would find this enjoyable. I think it would be good for her too.
I purchased a couple several years ago when they first hit the market. I enjoy them and they were good therapy for me after I had a stroke. I think the hardest was getting used to a keyboard again! Thankfully I have no bad lasting effects.
Oh Karen, I’m sorry to hear you had a stroke. But I’m glad to hear there was no lasting effects. Yes, I can imagine the colouring books being good therapy for you.
Yes, I’ve heard of the adult coloring boos although I have not seen one yet because I cannot do it for sure. I am semi color blind.
Oh, sorry to hear that you’re semi colour blind, Alex. I can understand this would make it difficult for you. They are good fun, though.
My sister is obsessed with coloring apps. I think coloring apps are great, but she needs to do other things as well.
Yes, I agree. I’m not too keen on these colouring apps. I’m sure they’re fun, but I prefer the proper colouring books. I usually do this for an hour or so in the afternoons.
i remember watership down!!!
my wife loves adult coloring books, she does them all the time. Her job is extremely stressful. she says they actually relax her.
Oh yes, I agree with your wife. I find it relaxing too, and it takes my mind off things.
that is what she loves about them as well!!
I have thought about adult coloring books. I went online and pulled out pages, but, not sure where I put them.
Hopefully you’ll find them, Hannihar. They are quite enjoyable to do, I find.
I have never got into this art Good for you
Thankyou Grace. It’s not for everyone, I know. But quite a few people I know seem to enjoy it. 🙂
